Self-Guided Tours & Interactive City Games

Yes, an active internet connection (4G/5G) is required throughout the experience. Because GuideGame runs seamlessly through your browser, you save valuable phone storage by not having to download a heavy application from the app store! Your data connection ensures the interactive 3D map loads smoothly, your GPS location syncs accurately, and your riddles are validated in real-time.

Absolutely! Our current experiences, like Athens Trace, are fully kids-friendly, transforming a standard historical walk into a fun, interactive treasure hunt that the whole family can enjoy together. Furthermore, we are actively developing a dedicated line of "For Kids" tours, featuring mysteries and gameplay specifically tailored just for our younger explorers—coming very soon!

How long do the tours usually take?
It’s entirely up to you and the specific tour you choose! GuideGame is designed to be completely self-paced, allowing you to set your own rhythm. For instance, a typical route usually takes around 3 hours of continuous exploration and gameplay. However, there is no rush; you can pause the app anytime to grab a coffee, enjoy a local lunch, or take photos and resume exactly where you left off.

Don't worry about getting permanently stuck. The app features a progressive hint system. If a specific mystery is too tricky, you can reveal helpful clues to gently guide you to the right answer without ruining the fun.

Upon successfully completing a tour, you will unlock a special digital voucher directly within the app. You can present this reward to our partnered local tavernas and boutiques, or use it online when booking premium travel services.

Right after your purchase, you will immediately receive a confirmation email containing your unique access PIN and a direct link. Simply click the link or download the app, enter your PIN on the screen, and your adventure begins!

There is no rush! Your PIN remains valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, so you can buy it now and activate it exactly when you are ready to explore Athens.

Each PIN provides access for one device. For the best interactive experience, we recommend purchasing one access code per player, or one per couple/small family if you prefer sharing a single screen.

GuideGame uses your screen, cellular data, and GPS to provide a rich, real-time interactive experience. We highly recommend starting your tour with a fully charged device. Bringing a portable power bank along is always a smart idea for any full-day city exploration!

Can multiple people play using the same PIN?
Yes! Our access PINs are based on the number of players (seats) you select. Whether you are a solo traveller, a family, or a large group, you can purchase a single PIN configured exactly for your party size. Because your access is linked to your player session, you can log in from any device you prefer. Simply select the total number of players during checkout, and your unique PIN will grant access to everyone in your group.

While it is not strictly required, we highly recommend connecting with your email. Because GuideGame operates through your browser or as a web app, logging in ensures that your game progress and history are securely saved. This way, if you accidentally close your browser, exit the app, or switch to a different device, you can instantly resume your adventure exactly where you left off without losing any data.
